Ageratum genus belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is an annual, perennial or subshrub that is distributed from Mexico to Peru. This genus consists of about 30 original species, and the cultivars are mainly varieties of Ageratum houstonianum. This herb grows to 20-60 cm in height. The leaves are ovate to round. It plants in beddings or pots, and it is everblooming, bloom from May to November. There are bluish-purple, purple, pink or white flower-colors.
