ヨーロッパから西アジア、それに北アフリカの広い地域に分布しています。石灰岩地の草原や灌木帯、海岸砂丘などに生え、高さは３０〜４５センチになります。茎は直立し、長楕円形の葉が根生します。６月から７月ごろ、花茎を伸ばして総状花序にピンク色から深紅色の花を咲かせます。大きな唇弁が「てがたちどり（手形千鳥）」のように３裂し、長い距があるのが特徴です。 |

The Pyramidal orchid (Anacamptis pyramidalis) belongs to Orchdaceae (the Orchid family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed over a wide area from Europe to western Asia and North Africa. It grows in limestone grasslands, shrublands, and coastal dunes, and is 30-45 cm tall. The stems are erect, and the oblong leaves are basal. from June to July, the flower scapes grow and produce pink to deep red flowers in racemes. The large labellum has three lobes like a "Fragrant orchid" and is characterized by its long spur. |
