北アメリカ原産の「コルヌス・セリケア」の園芸品種です。落葉低木で、高さは1.5〜4メートルになります。茎は黄緑色で、冬に最も鮮やかになります。葉は卵形で、秋に赤色やオレンジ色に紅葉します。5月から6月ごろ、小さな花序に小さな白っぽい花を咲かせます。花後、夏の終わりに白い液果をつけます。 
ミズキ科ミズキ属の落葉低木で、学名は Swida stolonifera 'Flaviramea' (syn. Cornus sericea 'Flaviramea')。英名は Golden-twig dogwood。
The golden-twig dogwood (Swida stolonifera 'Flaviramea') belongs to Cornaceae (the Dogwood family). It is a cultivar of Redosier dogwood (Swida stolonifera) that is native to nothern North America. It is a small deciduous tree and it can reach 1.5-4 m in height. The stems are greenish-yellow and brightest in winter. The leaves are ovate, turning red or orange in fall. The small, off-white flowers bloom in small clusters from May to June. After flowering, it produces white berries in late summer.
