べにばないちやくそう (紅花一薬草)

わが国の本州、中部地方以北から北海道、それに朝鮮半島、中国からシベリアに分布しています。山地帯から亜高山帯の林中や林縁に生え、高さは１０〜３０センチになります。葉は楕円形から広楕円形で、長い柄があります。６月から８月ごろ、穂状花序にピンク色の花を下向きに咲かせます。民間療法として、葉の絞り汁を虫刺されや切り傷に使ったり、脚気やむくみの利尿剤として煎じて飲まれたりします。 |

イチヤクソウ科イチヤクソウ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Pyrola incarnata。英名はありません。 |

"Benibana-ichiyaku-so" (Pyrola incarnata) belongs to the Pyrolaceae family. It is an evergreen perennial herb that is distributed northward from Chubu-district of Honshu to Hokkaido of Japan, as well as the Korean Peninsula, China and Siberia. This herb grows in montane to subalpine forests or forest edges and can reach 10-30 cm in height. The leaves are elliptic to broad elliptic with long petioles. The spicate cluster is borne and the pink descending flowers bloom from June to August. The leaves have been used as a herbal medicine for insect bites, cuts or hydragogue. |
