プレイオネ・フォレスティ (黄花朱鷺草)

中国、雲南省の西部からビルマに分布しています。標高２８００メートル以上の高原に生えます。大きなうす緑色の偽鱗茎に、淡い黄色の花を咲かせます。唇弁には赤い斑が入ります。タイリントキソウ属のなかでは唯一の黄花種です。和名では「きばなときそう（黄花朱鷺草）」と呼ばれます。中国語では「黄花独蒜蘭（huang hua du suan lan）」です。 |

The Pleione forrestii belongs to Orchdaceae (the Orchid family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed from western Yunnan, China to Burma. It grows on plateaus at altitudes above 2800 m. It produces pale yellow flowers on large, pale green pseudobulbs. The labellum has red spots. It is the only yellow-flowered species in the genus Pleione. In Japanese, it is called "Kibana-tokiso". In Chinese, it is called "黄花独蒜蘭" (huang hua du suan lan). |
