ヨーロッパのピレネー山脈に分布しています。山地から亜高山帯の岩礫地に生え、高さは5〜10センチになります。全体に濃い毛に被われ、葉は円形から楕円形で、縁には鋸歯があります。茎葉は卵形から披針形です。夏、漏斗形をした淡い青色の花を咲かせます。つぼみは下垂します。 
キキョウ科ホタルブクロ属の多年草で、学名は Campanula cochlearifolia。英名は Fairies thimbles。 
The Fairies thimbles (Campanula cochlearifolia) belongs to Campanulaceae (the Bellflower family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed in the Pyrenees Mountains of Europe. It grows in rocky gravelly areas in mountainous to subalpine zones and is 5 to 10 cm tall. The leaves are circular to elliptic with serrated edges. The cauline leaves are ovate to lanceolate. In summer, it produces funnel-shaped, pale blue flowers. The buds droop.
