The Corydalis cashmeriana belongs to Papaveraceae (the Poppy family). It is a perennial herb that is found in the eastern and western Himalayas, Nepal and Tibet, China. It grows in meadows and bushes at altitudes of 2500-5300 m and is It is 10-15 cm tall. It has triternate compound leaves with narrow ovate lobes. In spring, it produces bright blue narrow tubular flowers. In Chinese, it is called "克什米爾紫菫" (ke shi mi er zi jin).
