ヨーロッパアルプスから小アジアに分布しています。標高５００〜２６００メートルの草地に生え、高さは１０〜３０センチになります。葉は倒披針形で、小歯状突起があるか羽状に深裂します。７月から８月ごろ、黄色い頭花を一つだけ咲かせます。総苞は黄色みを帯びるか灰色の綿毛があります。

キク科フタマタタンポポ属の多年草で、学名は Crepis alpestris。英名はありません。

The Crepis alpestris belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is native from the European Alps to Asia Minor. This herb grows in montane grasslands 500-2600 m elevation and can reach 10-30 cm in height. The leaves are oblanceolate and denticulate to pinnatipartite. The solitary yellow flowerheads come in July to August. The involucre is yellowish or gray tomentose.
