キノグロッスム・オフィキナーレ [Index] [Back] ヨーロッパに分布しています。標高２４００メートル以下の乾燥した砂礫地などに生え、高さは３０〜１２０センチになります。葉は長楕円形から披針形で、上部の葉は茎を抱きます。５月から８月ごろ、暗い赤紫色で漏斗形の花を咲かせます。 ムラサキ科オニルリソウ属の二年草で、学名は Cynoglossum officinale。英名は Hound's tongue。 The hound's tongue (Cynoglossum officinale) belongs to Boraginaceae (the Borage family). It is a biennial herb that is native to Europe. This herb grows in dry and stony places, to 2400 m elavation, and it can reach 30-120 cm in height. The leaves are oblong to lanceolate and the upper leaves are clasping the stems. The flowers are dull reddish-purple, funnel-shaped and bloom from May to August.
