Chrysanthemum grandiflorum

わが国で、江戸時代の中期から栽培されていた変わり咲きの鑑賞菊の一品種群です。花弁が管状になるものの総称。花弁の太さにより、太管(ふとくだ)・間管(あいくだ)・細管(ほそくだ)・針管(はりくだ)などと呼ばれます。太管は花弁の太さが3〜5ミリ、間管は太さ2〜3ミリ、細管は太さ1〜2ミリ、それに針管は太さが1ミリ以下です。 
キク科キク属の多年草で、学名は Chrysanthemum grandiflorum。英名は Chrysanthemum 'Kuda-mono'。 
The Chrysanthemum 'Kuda-mono' belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is a transmuted-flower chrysanthemum cultivar-group that was raised in Japan in the middle days of Edo Era (about 250 years ago). It is defined by the tubular petals. "Kuda-mono" is identified into four group with thick of petals. "Futo-kuda" is 3-5 mm in thick, "Ai-kuda" is 2-3 mm in thick, "Hoso-kuda" is 1-2 mm in thick, and "Hari-kuda" is 1 mm or less.
