メキシコの中部、ケレタロ州（Queretaro）に分布しています。乾燥した地域に、群生して生えます。基部で分枝し、茎は緑色の扁球形で、高さは５センチ、直径は７センチほどになります。中棘はなく、縁棘は白色から黄色、褐色で細く２〜８個あります。花は直径１．５センチくらいの白色から淡黄白色です。果実は液果で淡いピンク色に熟します。 |

サボテン科ドリコテレ属の疣サボテンで、学名は Dolichothele camptotricha（syn. Mammillaria decipiens ssp. camptotricha）。英名は Bird's nest cactus。 |

The bird's nest cactus (Dolichothele camptotricha) belongs to Cactaceae (the Cactus family). It is an evergreen perennial herbacious plant that is distributed Queretaro in central Mexico. This cactus grows in arid areas and forms clump. It branches basally, stems are oblate, middle green, 5 cm high and 7 cm in diameter. Central spine is absent, radial spines are 2-8, white or yellow or brown. Flowers are 1.5 cm in diameter, white to pale whitish-yellow. Fruits are berries and ripen pale pink. |
