Kamchatka lily belongs to Liliaceae (Lily family). It is a perennial herb that
is distriuted widely from Hokkido of Japan to Siberia, Alaska and North
America. This herb occurs in grasslands of cold regions and can reach 50-
80 cm in height. The leaves are lanceolate to elliptic and 3-5 whorled. The
dark purple, broad bell-shaped flowers come in June and July. The flowers
have bad odor.
