まんげつろうばい (満月蝋梅) [Index] [Back] 中国原産の「そしんろうばい（素心蝋梅）」の園芸品種のひとつです。花弁の色が濃く、先端が丸いのが特徴です。 ロウバイ科ロウバイ属の落葉低木で、学名は Chimonanthus praecox f. concolor cv. Mangetsu。英名は Wintersweet 'Mangetsu'。 The Wintersweet 'Mangetsu' (Chimonanthus praecox f. concolor cv. Mangetsu) belongs to Chimonanthus (the Wintersweet family). It is a small deciduous tree that is native to China. This tree is a cutlivar of Wintersweet (Chimonanthus praecox f. concolor).
