むらさきにがな (紫苦菜) [Index] [Back] わが国の本州から四国・九州に分布しています。山地の林内や林縁に生え、高さは６０〜１２０センチになります。茎の下部の葉は羽状分裂し、上部の葉は小さな披針形です。６月から８月ごろ、長い円錐花序をだし、直径１センチほどの赤紫色の頭花を、いっぱい下向きに咲かせます。 キク科アキノノゲシ属の多年草で、学名は Lactuca sororia。英名はありません。 "Murasaki-nigana" (Lactuca sororia) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is native from Honshu to Shikoku and Kyushu in Japan. This herb grows in mountain forests or forestedges, and can reach 60-120 cm in height. The underneath leaves are pinnatisect and the upper leaves are small lanceolate.
