"Musashino-kisuge" (Hemerocallis dumortieri var. esculenta f. musashiensis) belongs to Liliaceae (the Lily family). It is a perennial herb that is native to Mt. Sengen in Fuchu City of Tokyo, Japan. This herb is a form of "Nikko-kisuge" (Hemerocallis dumortieri var. esculenta), grows in hill deciduous broad-leaved forests and grasslands, and can reach 60-80 cm in height. The pale orange-yellow flowers bloom on the stem apices in May. The flowers last one day, open at morning and fade at next day. The terrestrials are blighted in August and diapause.
