Japanese cherry 'Juzukakezakura' (Prunus lannesiana cv. Juzukakezakura) belongs to the Rosaceae (the Rose family). It is one of cultivars of Japanese cherry (Prunus lannesiana). The pale rose pink flowers bloom in late of April to beginning of May, as soon as foliation. The flowers are large and double-flowered. This cherry tree has a legend related to Shinran (Founder of Jodo Shinshu Buddhism), this original tree is located at Baigoji Temple in Agano City, Niigata Prefecture, designated as a natural monument of the country.
