オーストラリアの東部、ニューサウスウェールズ州のゴスフォード（Gosford）から南のブリ（Bulli）にかけて分布しています。海岸沿いの荒れ地や乾燥した硬葉樹林に生え、高さは０．３〜２メートルになります。葉は針形で対生または輪生します。早春から晩秋にかけて、枝先に４〜２０個の小さな花をまとまって咲かせます。咲き始めは黄白色で、やがて赤色に変わります。

フトモモ科ダーウィニア属の常緑低木で、学名は Darwinia fascicularis。英名はありません。

The Darwinia fasciculari belongs to Myrtaceae (the Myrtle family). It is a small evergreen tree that is distributed from Gosford south to Bulli in New South Wales in the eastern part of Australia. It grows in wastelands along the coast and in dry sclerophylls, reaching a height of 0.3 to 2 m. The leaves are needle-shaped and opposite or whorled. From early spring to late fall, 4 to 20 small flowers come together at the tip of the branch. It is yellowish white at the beginning of blooming and then turns red.
