どうようばんじろう (銅葉蕃石榴) [Index] [Back] 熱帯アメリカ原産の「ばんじろう」の園芸品種です。高さは３〜４．５メートルになります。葉は長楕円形で、暗赤色を帯びています。夏に鮮やかなピンク色の花を咲かせます。果実は冬に暗赤色に熟します。 フトモモ科バンジロウ属の常緑低木で、学名は Psidium guajava cv. Malaysian Red。英名は Malaysian red guava。 The Red Malaysian guava (Psidium guajava cv. Malaysian Red) belongs to Myrtaceae (the Myrtle family). It is a small everegreen tree that is a cultivar of guava, which is native to tropical America. This tree can reach 3-4.5 m in height. The leaves are oblong and tinged with dark red color.
