あぶらすすき (油薄)

わが国の各地をはじめ朝鮮半島南部や中国、インドに分布しています。丘陵や山地の林縁などに生え、高さは９０〜１２０センチになります。茎はやや太い円柱形で叢生して直立します。葉は線状披針形です。８月から１０月ごろ、茎頂に円錐花序をだし、まばらに小枝を輪生状につけて垂れます。茎や枝には油に似た光沢があります。 |

イネ科アブラススキ属の多年草で、学名は Eccoilopus cotulifer。英名はありません。 |

"Abura-susuki" (Eccoilopus cotulifer) belongs to Poaceae (the Grass family). It is a perennial that is distributed throughout Japan, the southern Korean Peninsula, China, and India. It grows on hillsides and mountain forest margins and grows 90 to 120 cm tall. The stems are rather thick, cylindrical, and erect in a tussock. From August to October, conical inflorescences appear at the top of the stem, with sparse twigs hanging down in whorled. The stems and branches have an oil-like sheen. |
