オーストラリアが原産で、南東部を除く地域に広く分布しています。乾燥した地域に生え、成長は非常に遅いですが、高さは７メートルほどになります。葉は線形の仮葉（Phyllode）で、灰緑色をしています。春または降雨のあった時期に穂状花序をだし、小さな棒状の黄色い花を咲かせます。材は堅く、アボリジニの人々はブーメランに利用したそうです。

The Mulga (Acacia aneura) belongs to Mimosaceae (the Mimosa family). It is a small evergreen tree that is native to Australia and is widely distributed in areas other than the southeast. It grows in arid areas and grows very slowly, but can reach up to 7 m in height. The leaves are linear phyllode and have a grayish green color. It produces spikes in spring or during rainfall and blooms small rod-shaped yellow flowers. The wood is hard and the Aboriginal people used it for boomerangs.
