オーストラリアの東部、ニューサウスウェールズ州とビクトリア州に分布しています。高地に生え、高さは３〜４メートルほどになります。よく分枝して、灰緑色をした線形の葉をつけます。冬の終わりから早春にかけて、芳香のある黄色い花を咲かせます。

ネムノキ科アカシア属の常緑低木で、学名は Acacia boormanii。英名は Snowy river wattle。

The Snowy river wattle (Acacia boormanii) belongs to Mimosaceae (the Mimosa family). It is a small evergreen tree that is distributed in eastern Australia, New South Wales and Victoria. It grows in the highlands and can reach 3-4 m in height. It branches well and has gray-green linear leaves. The fragrant yellow flowers come in late winter and early spring.
