The Himalayan maidenhair (Adiantum venustum) belongs to the family Parkeriaceae. It is an evergreen fern that is distributed in the Kashmir region of the Himalayas. It grows in rocky crevices at elevations of 1700 to 2200 m and is 15 to 30 cm tall. It has pinnate compound leaves, which are bright pale green in spring. |
