The Aerangis appendiculata belongs to Orchdaceae (the Orchid family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is distributed in southeastern Africa, from Tanzania to Zambia and Mozambique. It grows in tropical biomes with a dry season and attaches itself to tree trunks. The pseudobulb produces three to four leathery, dark green, oblong leaves, and around November to December, the drooping flower scape produces about 10 white flowers. The flower spurs are sometimes pinkish.
