マダガスカルが原産です。常緑樹に着生し、広線形の葉が束生します。夏から秋にかけて、細長い花茎を伸ばし、茎頂にクリーム色から黄色の花を咲かせます。英国王立キュー植物園によれば、ヨーロッパに導入された最初のマダガスカル産のランです。 |

The Aeranthes grandiflora belongs to Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is native to Madagascar. It grows on evergreen trees and has broad, linear leaves that grow in bunches. From summer to fall, it grows long, slender flower stalks and produces cream to yellow flowers at the top of the stalks. According to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, it was the first orchid from Madagascar to be introduced to Europe. |
