The Long-flowered lipstick plant (Aeschynanthus longiflorus) belongs to Gesneriaceae (the African violet family). It is an evergreen shrub that is found in western Malaysia and Thailand. It grows in wet tropical biomes and grows on trees. The leaves are elliptic and opposite, and fleshy. The thin, hard stems hang down and bear many flowers at the end. The flowers are reddish-brown tubular flowers, about 10 cm long, and bloom as if they are sticking out of the yellowish-green calyx tube.
