The Aeschynanthus obconicus belongs to Gesneriaceae (the African violet family). It is an evergreen shrub that is native to Malaysia. The stems are semi-vining and are generally grown in hanging baskets. The ovate or elliptic leaves are glossy and grow in pairs. The flowers are dark red, stump-like tubular. |
