ジャワ島が原産です。着生植物で、高さは１０〜３０センチになります。青緑色の葉は革質で厚く、卵形で対生します。花期は不規則です。花は筒状で花冠は赤橙色、下には褐色の萼があります。 |

イワタバコ科エスキナンサス属の常緑多年草で、学名は Aeschynanthus pulcher。英名はありません。 |

|
The Aeschynanthus pulcher belongs to Gesneriaceae (the African violet family). It is an evergreen shrub that is native to Java. It is an epiphyte and grows 10 to 30 cm tall. The blue-green leaves are leathery, thick, ovate, and opposite. Flowering season is irregular. The flowers are tubular with a reddish-orange corolla and brown sepals underneath. |
