マレー半島からスマトラ・サラワク島に分布しています。樹木や岩に着生し、長い枝を下垂させます。卵形の葉は革質で対生します。一年を通じて、葉腋や枝先に小さな赤色の唇形花を咲かせます。 |

イワタバコ科エスキナンサス属の常緑小低木で、学名は Aeschynanthus tricolor。英名はありません。 |

|
The Aeschynanthus tricolor belongs to Gesneriaceae (the African violet family). It is an evergreen shrub that is native from the Malay Peninsula to Sumatra and the Sarawak Island. This shrub is epiphyte that usually grows on the tree trunks or rocks, and droops down its long branches. The leaves are ovate, leathery and arranged in opposite. The small, red, labiate flowers bloom at the axils and branch tips all year round. |
