アガウェ・パルメリ [Index] [Back] アメリカの南西部、アリゾナ州からニューメキシコ州、それにメキシコの北西部、ソノラ州とチワワ州に分布しています。葉は多肉質で緑色、真っ直ぐに伸びて長さは１２０センチ以上になります。葉の縁はギザギザで、先端は３〜６センチの厚い棘になっています。葉は密なロゼットを形成します。円錐花序がでて、高さは５メートル以上になります。冬の終わりから初夏にかけて、その上部の３分の１にある枝に淡い黄緑色から黄緑色の花を咲かせます。 リュウゼツラン科リュウゼツラン属の多年草で、学名は Agave palmeri。英名は Palmer's century plant。 Palmer's century plant (Agave palmeri) belongs to the family Agavaceae (the Agave family). It is a perennial herb that is native to the south-western United States; Arizona and New Mexico, and north-western Mexico; Sonora and Chihuahua. The leaves are fleshy, upright green, up to 120 cm in length, with jagged edges and ending in thick spines of 3-6 cm long. They form a dense rosette. The panicle is borne, and it can reach up to 5 m in height.
