メキシコの北部と東部に分布しています。ロゼットの大きさは９０センチほどになり、群生します。葉は青緑色で白粉をふき、しばしば赤色や紫色を帯びます。また細かい鋸歯があり、先端には鋭い棘があります。成熟すると黄色い花を咲かせますが、花茎はありません。 |

The Narrow-leaf agave (Agave striata) belongs to Agavaceae (the Agave family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is distributed in the northern and eastern parts of Mexico. The size of the rosette is about 90 cm, and it grows in clusters. The leaves are turquoise, dusted with white powder, and often tinged red or purple. It also has fine serrations and sharp spines at the tip. When mature, it blooms yellow flowers, but has no flower stalks. |
