The Pyramidal bugle (Ajuga pyramidalis) belongs to Lamiaceae (the Mint family). It is a perennial herb that is native to Europe. This herb grows in meadows, stony places and scrubs, 1300-2800 m elavations, and it can reach 10-25 cm in height. The leaves are oval, slightly toothed ot untoothed, the lower stalked. The pale violet-blue or deep violet, rarely pink or white flowers bloom in dense leafy pyramidal spikes from April to August.
