スミレ科スミレ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Viola grypoceras f. variegata。英名はありません。
The "Akafu-tachitsubo-sumire" (Viola grypoceras f. variegata) belongs to Violaceae (the Viola family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is distributed throughout Japan, the southern Korean Peninsula and central China. It is a forma of "Tachitsubo-sumire" (Viola grypoceras). The leaves are cordate with magenta patch outlining the veins. It is about 10 cm in height, and can reach about 30 cm high following bloom. The pale azure or purpleflowers come in March to May.
