わが国の各地をはじめ、朝鮮半島や中国に分布しています。山野にふつうに生え、高さは70〜150センチになります。茎の上部はよく分枝します。葉は2〜4回3出複葉で、小葉は円形から楕円形です。7月から9月ごろ、茎の先に大きな円錐花序をだし、淡い黄白色の小さな花を咲かせます。花弁のように見えるのは萼片で、早く落ちます。果実は痩果で8個の翼があります。中国語では「東亞唐松草(dong ya tang song cao)」と呼ばれます。
キンポウゲ科カラマツソウ属の多年草で、学名は Thalictrum minus var. hypoleucum。英名はありません。
The "Aki-karamatsu" (Thalictrum minus var. hypoleucum) belongs to Ranunculaceae (the Buttercup family). It is a perennial herb that is native all over Japan, as well as the Korean Peninsula and China. This her grows in fields and mountains, and can reach 70-150 cm in height. The upper stem is much branched. The leaves are biternate to tetraternate compound with round to elliptic leaflets. The large panicles are borne on the stem apices and the small, pale yellowish-white flowers bloom from July to September. The petal-like sepals are caducous (short-lived). The fruits are achenes with eight wings. In Chinese, it is called "東亞唐松草" (dong ya tang song cao).
