たぶんミトリフォルミス種（Aloe mitriformis）かディスタンス種（Aloe distans）と、アルボレスケンス種（Aloe arborescens）との種間交雑種です。葉はロゼットを形成し、高さは３０センチほどになります。葉は三角状で、黄白色の棘があります。６月から７月ごろ、長い花茎のうえに橙赤色の花を咲かせます。園芸上は「ふやじょう（不夜城）」と呼ばれます。

ユリ科アロエ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Aloe nobilis。英名は Gold tooth aloe。

The Gold tooth aloe (Aloe nobilis) belongs to Liliaceae (the Lily family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is probably a interspecific hybrid between Aloe mitriformis or Aloe distans and Aloe arborescens. This aloe forms a rosette and can reach about 30 cm in height. The leaves are triangular with yellowish white spines. The orange-red flowers come on the tall stalks in June to July.
