北アフリカのスーダンが原産です。標高1000メートルほどの山地に分布しています。白い斑入りのロゼットが群生し、高さは30〜60センチほどになります。冬の1月ごろから、ピラミッド形の花序に暗い黄色または明るい橙色の花を咲かせます。花はハミングバードによって受粉されます。 
ユリ科アロエ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Aloe sinkatana。英名はありません。 
The Aloe sinkatana belongs to Liliaceae (the Lily family). It is an evergreen perennial that is native to Sudan in North Africa. It is distributed in mountainous areas at elevations of about 1000 m. It grows in clusters of white spotted rosettes, 30-60 cm tall. Starting in winter, around January, dark yellow or bright orange flowers bloom in pyramidal inflorescences. Flowers are pollinated by hummingbirds.
