アメリカのハワード（F. Howard）によって、１９２０年代に作出されました。南アフリカ原産の「アマリリス・ベラドンナ（Amaryllis belladonna）」と「クリヌム・ムーレイ（Crinum moorei）」との属間交雑種です。高さは７０センチほどになり、葉は剣状で、根元に束生します。８月から１０月ごろ、花茎を伸ばして散形花序をつけ、淡いピンク色の花を咲かせます。写真中３の品種は、「ドロシーハンニバル（cv. Dorothy Hannibal）」。

ユリ科アマルクリヌム属の常緑多年草で、学名は X Amarcrinum howardii。英名はありません。

X Amarcrinum howardii belongs to the Liliaceae (the Lily family). It is an evergreen herb that was raised by American F. Howard in 1920s. This is an intergeneric hybrid between Amaryllis belladonna and Crinum moorei. It can reach about 70 cm in height. The leaves are lance-shaped and fasciculate. The umbels are borne on the flowering stalks and bloom pale pink flowers from August to October.
