ブラジルからパラグアイに分布しています。開けた大平原やプレーリーに生え、高さは３０センチほどになります。古くなると茎は木質化します。葉は卵形で、明るい灰色の綿毛に被われています。花は淡いふじ色から青色で白色の咽があり、夏から秋に咲きます。

ヒルガオ科アサガオガラクサ属の亜低木で、学名は Evolvulus glomeratus。英名は Blue daze。

Blue daze (Evolvulus glomeratus) belongs to the Convolvulaceae (the Bindweed family). It is an evergreen subshrub that is native to Brazil and Paraguay. This subshrub grows in open plains and prairies, and can reach about 30 cm in height. The stems become woody as they age. The leaves are ovate, covered with light gray wooly hairs. The flowers are pale lavender or blue with white throats, and bloom in summer and fall.
