アメリカぎく (アメリカ菊)

アメリカの東部が原産です。湿った草原や湿地、河岸などに生え、高さは１．５〜１．８メートルになります。葉は線形から披針形で、緑灰色をしています。９月から１０月ごろ、白色やピンク、藤色、紫色などの「アスター」に似た花を咲かせます。別名で「ボルドーぎく（ボルドー菊）」とも呼ばれます。 |

The Boltonia (Boltonia asteroides) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is native to the eastern part of the United States. It grows in moist meadows, wetlands, and riverbanks, and grows 1.5 to 1.8 m tall. It has linear to lanceolate leaves that are greenish-gray, and blooms from September to October with white, pink, wisteria, or purple flowers that resemble asters. |
