The Anthurium flavolineatum belongs to Araceae (the Arum family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is distributed from southern Colombia to Ecuador in South America. It grows in tropical rainforests in the Andes Mountains and attaches itself to tree trunks. It grows 90 to 120 cm tall. The leaves are large, narrow, heart-shaped, and glossy. Flowers are produced in spadixes with brown, yellow-striped spathe bracts.
