アップルメロン [Index] [Back] 南アメリカのパラグアイが原産だといわれています。涙滴形のメロンで、明るい黄金色と緑色の縞模様が入った皮は薄く、重さは４００ｇ〜１ｋｇほどになります。果肉はハニーデューメロンやりんご、そしてきゅうりが合わさったような風味があります。系統としては、ドゥダイム群に分類されています。 ウリ科キュウリ属の一年草で、学名は Cucumis melo var. dudaim。英名は Apple melon。 The Apple melon (Cucumis melo var. dudaim) belongs to Cucurbitaceae (the Gourd family). It is an annual herb that is said to be native to Paraguay in South America. This teardrop-shaped melon has a thin rind with bright golden and green stripes and weighs between 400 g and 1 kg. The flesh has a flavor reminiscent of a combination of honeydew melon, apple, and cucumber. Taxonomically, it is classified in the Dudaim group.
