わが国の四国、高知県足摺岬から愛媛県佐田岬にかけて分布しています。海岸沿いの傾斜地に生え、高さは６０〜９０センチになります。「のじぎく（Chrysathemum occidentali-japonense）」の変種で、葉は厚くて３中裂し、表面の縁に短毛が密生して白く縁取られるのが特徴です。１０月から１２月ごろ、白色の頭花を咲かせます。

キク科キク属の多年草で、学名は Chrysanthemum occidentali-japonense var. ashizuriense。英名はありません。

"Ashizuri-noji-goku" (Chrysanthemum occidentali-japonense var. ashizuriense) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is native to Shikoku; westward from Ashizuri Cape of Kochi-prefecture to Sada Cape of Ehime-prefecture. This herb grows on coastal slopes and can reach 60-90 cm in height. It is a variety of "Noji-giku" (Chrysanthemum occidentali-japonense). The leaves are thick and trilobate. They are covered with white short hairs on the surface edges and look like outlining. The white flower-heads come in October to December.
