The Rose grass (Rhodohypoxis baurii) belongs to Liliaceae (the Lily family). It is a perennial herb that is native to the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga in South Africa. This herb grows in moist, rocky habitats, and can reach up to 15 cm in height. The leaves are lanceolate and sparsely hairy. The flowers are white, pink or red, and bloom in spring and early summer. The Japanese name "Attsu-zakura" is not related to Atz Island in the Kuril Islands. The 3rd and 4th photos show the horticultural variety 'Ruby-no-kagayaki" (Ruby's brilliance).
