メキシコ南部のオアハカ州が原産です。ロゼットを形成して高さ１０センチ、直径５センチほどになり群生します。葉は白粉を被り、縁は赤く染まります。夏に花茎を伸ばして、赤みを帯びた黄色いベル形の花を咲かせます。園芸上は「静夜（せいや）」と呼ばれます。 |

The Baby echeveria (Echeveria derenbergii) belongs to Crassulaceae (the Orpine family). It is an evergreen herb that is native to Oaxaca in southern Mexico. It forms rosettes, 10 cm tall and 5 cm in diameter, and grows in clusters. The leaves are covered with white powder and have reddish edges. In summer, the flower stalks grow and produce reddish yellow bell-shaped flowers. Horticulturally in Japan, it is called "seiya" (meaning "still night"). |
