メキシコからコスタリカにかけて分布しています。高地に生える矮性の着生ランです。偽鱗茎は球形で２〜３センチほどです。冬から春にかけて、花茎を伸ばして、黄褐色の花を咲かせます。唇弁は白色です。 |

The Encyclia polybulbon belongs to Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is distributed from Mexico to Costa Rica. It is a dwarf epiphytic orchid that grows at high altitudes. The pseudobulbs are spherical and 2-3 cm long. From winter to spring, the flower stalks grow and produce yellowish-brown flowers. The labellum is white. |
