The Long-leaf wax flower (Eriostemon myoporoides) belongs to Rutaceae (the Citrus family). It is an evergreen shrub that is distributed in the eastern part of Australia, from southern Queensland to New South Wales and Victoria. It grows in dry hardwood forests and wastelands, and grows up to 2 m tall. The leaves are narrowly oblong, slightly waxy, and alternate. The white flowers, about 2 cm in diameter, are produced from the leaf axils from June to November. Since 1998, it has been called "Philotheca myoporoides".
