エリオフォルム・スケウクゼリ [Index] [Back] ヨーロッパの中部から北部、シベリア、北アメリカに分布しています。水辺や湿地帯などに生え、高さは２０〜５０センチになります。葉はほとんど葉身がなく鞘だけです。６月から８月ごろ、茎頂に綿のような白い花を、球状に咲かせます。 カヤツリグサ科ワタスゲ属の多年草で、学名は Eriophorum scheuchzeri。英名は White cottongrass。 The White cottongrass (Eriophorum scheuchzeri) belongs to Cyperaceae (the Sedge family). It is a perennial herb that is native to central and northern Europe, Siberia and North America. This herb grows in water's edges or marshes and can reach 20-50 cm in height. The leaves have leaf blades scarcely, only vaginas.
