エリオゴヌム・ライティイ [Index] [Back] アメリカの南西部からバハカリフォルニア、それにメキシコ北西部に自生しています。山地から砂漠の岩場の多い場所に生え、高さは６０〜９０センチまでになります。葉は変異が多く、線形から楕円形、綿毛があります。白色やピンク色またはローズ色の花が６月から１０月に咲きます。萼片と花びらはまとめて花被片と呼ばれ、無毛から密な羊毛状になります。  タデ科エリオゴヌム属の常緑小低木で、学名は Eriogonum wrightii。英名は Bastardsage、Wright's buckwheat。  The bastardsage (Eriogonum wrightii) belongs to Polygonaceae (the Knotweed family). It is an evergreen shrub that is native to the southwestern Untied States, Baja California and northwest Mexico. This herb grows in rocky habitats from mountains to deserts, and up to a height of 60-90 cm. The leaves are variable, linear to elliptical, and tomentose. The white, pink or rose flowers bloom from June to October.
