エリスロニウム・アルビドゥム [Index] [Back] 北アメリカの東部、ケベック州・マニトバ州南部から南へジョージア州それにテキサス州に分布しています。落葉樹林や林地のなだらかな斜面などに生え、高さは１０〜１５センチになります。葉は披針形で濃緑色、紫色の斑模様があります。春の盛りから終わりにかけて、白色のユリのような花を咲かせます。花冠には、６個の花披片、６個の雄しべそれに長く黄色い柱頭があります。 ユリ科カタクリ属の多年草で、学名は Erythronium albidum。英名は White fawnlily。 White fawnlily (Erythronium albidum) belongs to Liliaceae (the Lily family). It is a perennial herb that is native to eastern North America; from southern Quebec and southern Manitoba south to Georgia and Texas. This herb grows in deciduous woodlands and gentle slopes in wooded areas, and it can reach 10-15 cm in heght. The leaves are lanceolate, dark green and covered with a mottled pattern of purple blotches. The white, lily-like flowers bloom in mid to late spring.
