エリンギウム・エブルネウム [Index] [Back] 南アメリカのブラジルからウルグアイ、アルゼンチンが原産です。高さは１８０〜２４０センチになります。葉には棘状の縁があり、ロゼットを形成します。早春に、壮大な花茎を伸ばし、花序に淡い緑色の球形の花を咲かせます。切り花はフラワーアレンジメントに利用されます。 セリ科ヒゴタイサイコ属の多年草で、学名は Eryngium eburneum。英名は Sea holly。 Sea holly (Eryngium eburneum) belongs to Apiaceae (the Carrot family). It is a perennial herb that is native to South America; from Brazil to Uruguay, Argentina. This herb can reach 180-240 cm in height. The leaves form rosette which composed of spiny-edged green foliage. The massive flower spikes emerge in early spring, and the light green globose flowers come on the spikes.
