エリンギウム・ギガンテウム [Index] [Back] コーカサス地方からイランに分布しています。高さは９０〜１５０センチになります。葉は卵形で、縁には棘状の鋸歯があります。７月から９月ごろ、筒状の散形花序をだし、淡い青色の花を咲かせます。花序の周りには、大きくて棘のある銀色の苞葉がつきます。 セリ科ヒゴタイサイコ属の多年草で、学名は Eryngium giganteum。英名は Miss Willmott's ghost。 Miss Willmott's ghost (Eryngium giganteum) belongs to Apiaceae (the Carrot family). It is a perennial herb that is native to Caucasus and Iran. This herb can reach 90-150 cm in height. The leaves are ovate with spiny toothed edges. The cylindrical umbels are borne and bloom pale blue flowers from July to September.
